The location is amazing, and it makes a great base for exploring the Mavrovo National Park. The house itself is beautiful and full of lovely details. The big patio/terrace offers great views and we enjoyed eating breakfast outside – even in October. It’s more a restaurant with rooms than a hotel, so they only have a few rooms (after the restaurant closes, it’s very quiet). The food (and wine) was excellent and we loved trying out different traditional dishes. Their local sheep cheese is to die for! Our waiter was very helpful, friendly and passionate about the local cuisine. Very reasonably priced, especially given the quality and quantity. We would love to stay again!

El restaurante del hotel es muy bueno y asequible, nos atendieron muy bien. La habitación es tranquila y cómoda aunque hay que subir escaleras. El coche se puede aparcar en el parking de la carretera al lado. Está a 300m del monasterio y en un sitio muy tranquilo y bonito, aunque para moverse por la zona es necesario el coche.

Sehr idyllisch im Nationalpark, tolle Aussicht von der Terrasse. Das Restaurant ist sehr empfehlenswert, auf der Karte ist für jeden was zu finden. Zum Frühstück durfte man sich von der Speisekarte etwas aussuchen, es war für uns das beste Frühstück in Mazedonien. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Es gibt genügend Parkplätze, zum Teil auch direkt am Haus.

Hospitality is the best, staff is so friendly and helpful, they are fantastic! The place looks so beautiful, it’s way more beautiful then the pictures on booking already are. The restaurant serves local food and tastes so good, definitely the best we had in the Balkans so far. The room is very clean, beds sleeps good and the bathroom looks brand new. Enough parking spaces in front of the hotel. The hotel is surrounded by pure nature and looks formidable!

This location is stunning. If you are looking for a quit break between long legs of travel, I highly recommend this spot. There are two hotels. One up by the momentary and what I’m assuming is the original hotel at the bottom by the restaurant. We stayed in these rooms. I think there are only 4 in this hotel but they were nice. The facility has a lot of character. The restaurant staff was very friendly and welcoming. The food was also excellent. And the monastery is well worth the visit. So relaxing and the church is spectacular.

Nos quedamos sorprendidos con este maravilloso lugar. Es pura tranquilidad. Nada como desayunar comer o cenar en la terraza del restaurante con vistas al bosque y la montaña con el ruido del río de fondo. La comida está ESPECTACULAR! El servicio fue muy amable y simpático y estuvimos muy agusto.

Very nice spot in a great location in nature and right by the monastery. The house is really cute and the rooms are cozy and clean. The restaurant serves absolutely amazing traditional Macedonian food and the staff is very kind and helpful. Would definitely come back again! Plus the breakfast was amazing – the servings are huge and everything was delicious!
